Model V-4213 offers a design concept featuring a portable, man-packed, omni-directional discone base station antenna for military broad-band VHF communications in the field. The emphasis on human engineering makes this antenna system easily and quickly erectable by two persons in less than 10 minutes.

The V-4213AD includes a mast system constructed of 3-foot (91.4 cm) aluminum tube lengths which assemble to a height of 30 feet (9.1 m) above ground for optimum electrical antenna performance. The V-4213AC does not include either the mast or coax cable assemblies.

High reliability factors and mechanical ruggedness have been designed into these light-weight, compact systems, making them ideal for tactical military applications.

Both models of the V-4213 provide continuous coverage across the entire 30-88 MHz frequency range without need for electromechanical adjustments.
